Position Summary

The Senior Data Integration Specialist is an established developer that understands the complexities of data, navigates through multi-cloud implementations, and delivers high quality solutions to impact a variety of core and business development opportunities at SoundExchange.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the monitoring of data flow between databases, servers, and cloud services (Oracle, AWS, Azure) to identify and implement data integration architectures. This person will excel in agile, multi team, collaborative, dynamic and fast-paced environments.


Essential Functions
  • Plan, execute, and manage the strategic integration of new data and data stores into existing systems and infrastructure throughout the enterprise, including introduction of Cloud services as applicable
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the BI Team and Product owners to fulfill data warehouse and business requirements
  • Classify design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and endorse changes or enhancements
  • Conduct research on emerging new products, languages, and standards in support of procurement, development, security, and integration efforts in relation to the Cloud, BI, and data management
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Lead and/or support the development of product solutions
  • Document, manage, and report on project risks and opportunities
  • Prioritizes tasks and meets project deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
  • Experience on multi-cloud environments will be preferred
  • Experience with ETL tools (Pentaho and or Oracle Data integration preferable)
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping
  • Experience working with data quality issues and providing remedies to those issues.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: Python, SQL etc.
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience with technical systems, datasets, data warehouses, and data analysis techniques
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to build quick estimates using back-of-the-envelope analysis, structure (and, if needed, execute) more complex analyses, pull together business cases, navigate multidimensional sets of tradeoffs.
  • Above all, the job calls for comfort with data – ability to manipulate it, question its validity, interpret it, and develop recommendations based on it

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs)
  • Experience on multi-cloud environments will be preferred

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years or more total software development, architecture, and solution design experience
  • At least 5 years of hands on, ETL and data analysis experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Cloud Native technologies
  • At least 2 years’ experience in design, implementation, deployment, and support of public cloud services and infrastructure (Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform)

  • This position requires the ability to spend majority of the time viewing computer monitors
  • The person in this position may need to move about the corporate office(s) more than half the time
  • This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
