AVEX USA – Accounting Senior Manager/Director (Remote, US)

The Accounting Senior Manager/Director of Avex USA, Inc. will lead the corporate department in bookkeeping, accounting and finance operations.

Main role of this position is an integral part of the accounting team to ensure our bookkeeping and accounting are handled accurately, timely on a monthly and semi-annually basis.

The Accounting Senior Manager/Director will work closely with the SVP of Corporate Management Division as well as outside CPA, bookkeeping agency, partnered banks and also with counter parties of each division in the Tokyo Headquarter.


JOB SUMMARY
  • Supervise employee’s expense reporting, manage and conduct bookkeeping and conduct reconciliations on a monthly basis (QuickBooks/Concur)
  • Manage outside CPA firm that we outsource bookkeeping by putting together internal data and provide them to the CPA firm
  • Manage daily bank transactions including process invoices, receipts and approving transactions
  • Responsible for coordinating with global accounting team in the HQ for the monthly reports or accounting arrangements time to time
  • Reconcile semi-annual royalty accountings (music publishing and music label)
  • Manage consolidation of accounting for the subsidiaries or affiliates time to time (if any)
  • Develop and maintain company accounting policy
  • Manage tax filings (manage schedules and assist filings)
  • Assist some of other corporate administrative operations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • More than 5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping in US-GAAP
  • Experience in reviewing entire company’s monthly accounting and managing monthly BS worksheets
  • Experiences in a manager of the accounting team
  • Experience in professional accounting firm or CPA (preferred)
  • Experience in music and music industry (preferred)
  • Experience in banking/treasury roles (preferred)
  • Knowledge on Quickbooks/Concur (preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheet skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong sense of responsibility and diligent work manner
  • Written and verbal communication skills
