Position Summary

Secretly Group seeks a Director of Projects, UK/EU. Ideally the candidate will be based in London, and their prime mission will be to lead and mentor a growing team of Project Managers & Project Coordinators, identifying label priorities and ensuring effective strategies to bring our records to market.

The Director of Projects (UK & EU) will report to the Global Label Director and collaborate closely on release schedule management, budgeting conversations, departmental objectives and implementing a growth mindset.


Responsibilities
  • Line manage and mentor an expanding Projects staff (including but not limited to hiring, training, assigning workloads, conducting performance reviews…)
  • Communicate with and coach Project Managers & Project Coordinators on best practices, operational procedure & complexities, and strategies to bring our records to market effectively
  • Provide high-level project management duties across select priority campaigns, and manage and delegate the needs of legacy artists who do not have active project teams assigned
  • Oversee departmental systems and workflows, and make recommendations to Global Label Director and VPs of Operations on tool optimisation for Project teams
  • Ensure compliance and optimisation of label cataloguing & metadata management
  • Report to and communicate regularly with the Global Label Director on macro priorities for the label group’s Projects team
  • Liaise with our distribution network to provide centralised oversight on new release campaigns and release schedule updates
  • Collaborate with the Global Label Director and A&R team on label release schedules: traffic control individual label schedules, identify label priorities, assess production demand, and the impact of label schedule volume on operational staff
  • Work with Global Label Director on label pricing & discount strategy
  • Liaise with Inventory and Production teams to identify manufacturing priorities, inventory concerns and stock control
  • Have oversight on all project budgets to understand strategy and goals for each project

The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience managing a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the physical & digital retail cycles
  • Access to a robust network and wide range of industry contacts
  • Passion and familiarity with the Secretly Group roster
  • Excellent communication skills, hands-on-mentality and team spirit
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • A highly committed, pro-active and reliable attitude
  • Great attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Advanced organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise to tight deadlines
