LOCATION: Nashville, TN preferred, but will consider New York or Los Angeles

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Executive Assistant / Label & Publishing Coordinator will work directly for a Senior Executive of Firebird, helping to facilitate numerous initiatives and manage multiple creative businesses within the Firebird portfolio.

Administrative / Executive:

  • Support the overall organization on an as-needed basis and provide direct support to Senior Executive
  • Organize and set up meetings for key initiatives, and quarterback working with various teams and departments
  • Create and organize Firebird’s internal processes
  • Keep team data tools and CRM up-to-date with current and potential partners, key renewal dates, contact information, etc.
  • Help to compose, edit, and clean up powerpoint presentations and other internal and external communication documents
  • Work with Microsoft excel forecasting models to underwrite label, publishing, and other creative deals
  • Office Management duties including sorting mail, scheduling meetings, and other administrative tasks
  • Book travel and lodging arrangements for Executive
  • Assist in organizing and compiling Executive’s expense reports

Creative:

  • Liaise with Firebird’s Nashville-based artist, management, publishing, and label partners
  • Research and keep tabs on artists and writers that are involved with Firebird’s portfolio companies
  • Represent Firebird in Nashville by being available to existing or potential clients living in or traveling to Nashville
  • Attend local shows for current and prospective portfolio companies
  • Create regular product performance reports and update key stakeholders on progress of key initiatives and signings

QUALIFICATIONS
  • You have 2+ years of experience within the music industry
  • You have experience supporting a senior executive and ability to work quickly and collaboratively
  • You are well versed in current popular music, cultural trends, and music industry operations, across genres but with specific knowledge of Country, Rock and Americana
  • You are immersed in the Nashville music scene and familiar with Nashville music industry
  • You analyze situations and formulate actionable paths forward
  • You are detail oriented and able to take a broad overview simultaneously
  • You are a clear and effective communicator with excellent writing skills
  • You are empathetic to artists and their creative needs/wants
  • You have experience organizing artist showcases and company events
  • You are well organized and flexible
  • You are a problem solver who’s able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with Music Connect, BDS, Mediabase, and other music reporting tools a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
