This role will own the merchandising strategy for bringing Prime members into Amazon Music and retaining them, including customer segmentation, testing, analyzing and reporting on the results, and creating best practices to be used globally. This role will also work closely with our product teams to drive improvements to our merchandising systems, which are unique to the Amazon Music app. A successful candidate will have a passion for understanding customer behavior and be able to communicate this to stakeholders on the business and product teams. They will have an interest in testing, from creating the testing plan to communicating the results upwards and using the data to inform future business decisions. And, as we are a global organization, this role will also work regularly with our global counterparts in creating and sharing best practices. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong communication skills, be comfortable with ambiguity, and have the creativity to challenge our status quo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and communicate in-app merchandising and outbound campaigns to drive Prime member usage of Amazon Music and improve Amazon Music KPIs.
  • Analyze results of testing, communicate learnings upwards and internationally, and use the data to drive future tests
  • Document results and share best-practices across Amazon Digital Music’s worldwide organization
  • Partner with technical and business teams to drive system improvements within the Amazon Music apps and some Outbound channels
  • Own multiple team KPIs for customer engagement, developing strategy to drive results over short and long-term
  • Manage content merchandising workflows and create new ones where needed

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in online marketing, site merchandising, or content management.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills – ability to use data to develop and optimize merchandising programs.
  • Proven track record of creating customer segmentation and executing testing plans
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating relevant results upwards
  • Familiarity with SQL and data extraction
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience managing large scale marketing programs and writing customer-facing content
  • Experience working in the music industry including a knowledge of current trends and history in music, the music industry, and digital music

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of marketing experience
