Position Summary

As the Data Analyst, you will enable the wider Digital Marketing team to develop strategy for campaigns through analyzing the relationships between streaming, playlisting, track performance, TikTok, and Shazam. This Data Analyst must have an interest in statistics, as well as contextualizing and applying findings.


Responsibilities
  • Complete and send regular frontline streaming, playlisting, and video reports to staff and artist managers
  • Analyze territory breakdowns by service ahead of, during, and after campaigns
  • Monitor and share reports on smartlink data
  • Generate streaming forecasts for singles and albums
  • Monitor catalogue for spikes and investigate their origins; i.e. Shazam figures and cross-over streaming from TikTok
  • Develop understanding of streaming data and performance metrics and act as a liaison between the digital team and wider label team

The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates
  • Statistics background or coursework is preferred but not required
  • Advanced understanding of Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, and Excel (familiarity with pivot tables and database architecture)
  • Experience analyzing, validating and communicating data and insights with the ability to apply strategy to data analysis and recommendations
  • An ability to work on several projects at once
  • Both a strategic and critical thinking mindset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable presenting and communicating with leadership
  • Active interest in strategy as it relates to emerging technologies within the online marketplace and social medias – especially as they affect the music industry
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven
  • A deep passion for discovering and talking about new music across a variety of genres
  • A passion for the Secretly Group label roster a plus

New York Salary Range: $65k

Los Angeles Salary Range: $60k
