As AMRA, the global digital music collection society, is rapidly growing and we start to build out our approach to catalogue management, this newly created role will act as the operational expert spearheading the initiative interfacing with technology, operations, and clients. The position requires someone with effective communication and collaboration skills to steer multiple stakeholders towards the shared catalogue management objective across the business and technology.

WHAT DOES A DIRECTOR OF CATALOGUE MANAGEMENT DO AT AMRA?
  • You will lead on design and testing of catalogue management projects, coordinating with technology and operations teams to ensure that copyrights are accurately and efficiently onboarded into our system.
  • You work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements ensuring that the onboarding process meets their expectations, developing and implementing improvements and procedures to streamline the onboarding and improve efficiency.
  • You report on the process of onboarding projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • You support existing onboarding, ingestion and data management activities, interacting with clients where necessary, offering improvements and using technology to simplify workflows.

WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • You must have a strong background in copyright processes (ideally at least 10+ years working in music copyright administration), grounded in an operational role at a publisher or society alongside experience working with copyright-related technologies and systems.
  • You are familiar with environments where attention to detail, accuracy, and having a detail-driven mind-set is key.
  • You are an excellent project manager as this role will involve managing a large-scale onboarding project from start to finish.

  • You have excellent communication skills: the duties require a very high level of communication internally and externally, including communication of technical information to a variety of internal stakeholders; we are looking for someone who can adapt communication to the audience.
  • Understanding of the specific catalogue and copyright data management considerations relating to publishers, writers, and other rights management organisations would be beneficial.
