Assistant, Creative Synch – New York

We are hiring an enthusiastic, driven, music-loving assistant in New York to join the global creative synch team. Reporting to the VP of Creative Synch, the ideal candidate has a passion for synch and an interest in the intersection between music and advertising.

This candidate should have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, be highly organized, be a self-starter who can be independently proactive, and be very comfortable working with managers, artists, songwriters, and internal and external executives.


WHAT DOES A CREATIVE SYNCH ASSISTANT AT KOBALT DO?
  • You provide administrative support to the NYC Synch team. Tasks include but are not limited to:
    • Scheduling and calendar management
    • Coordinating meetings and guest visits
    • Taking and circulating meeting notes
    • Coordinating travel
    • Organizing and maintaining team assets
    • Assisting in creative pitching efforts via catalog mining and gathering/creating marketing resources
    • Assisting with clearance administration
    • Lead generation and contact database management
  • You track, organize, and manage client tour schedules, invites, ticketing, and RSVPs for assigned markets, including the East Coast, Midwest, and Canada.
  • You pull data reports and writer information from the internal database as needed.
  • You plan and execute internal and external artist showcases.
  • You plan and execute client and customer events.
  • You facilitate tracking of synch pitches and deals in Kobalt’s internal database.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • You may have 1+ years of administrative experience, preferably supporting and/or interacting with senior-level executives. Bonus points if you also have experience in the music industry with knowledge of the recorded and music publishing businesses.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) & Google Drive; Photoshop, Canva, and iMovie also preferred.
  • You have great initiative with the ability to be collaborative, demonstrate strong judgment, professionalism, and poise.
  • You can demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  • You have strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multi[le priorities.
  • You are resourceful and imperative as well as comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume & evolving environment.
  • You need to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times as well as work overtime when necessary.

The range provided is for NYC-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than NYC may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

Pay range:
$18—$23 USD
