Vocana.co is a rapidly growing indie-centric social music streaming platform paying user-centric payments. We connect indie artists directly with their fans in one space. Our platform is uniquely designed with a full streaming service, social media suite, live streaming, print-on-demand merchandise, tip jar, DM’ing, commenting/liking on all music tracks, and 100% of all data on each streamer going back to the Artist including email/snail mail.

We seek a dynamic and experienced Chief Marketing Officer or Director of Marketing to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate MUST HAVE a deep understanding of the independent music community and a proven track record in creating and implementing effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies, particularly for subscription services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute innovative GTM strategies and rollout plans to drive subscriber growth and enhance user engagement
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with artists, labels, distributors, managers, promoters, and fans within the independent music community
  • Spearhead branding and marketing initiatives aimed at indie musicians and their fanbases, ensuring that our message resonates and builds loyalty
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with indie brands to enhance our platform’s reach and value proposition
  • Oversee the measurement and analysis of marketing performance, using KPIs, CPA, and A/B testing to optimize campaigns and drive results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall company objectives

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of indie music marketing experience, with at least five years in a senior leadership role
  • Extensive network within the independent music community, including artists, labels, distributors, managers, promoters, and fans
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful GTM strategies and rollout plans for subscription services
  • Strong expertise in branding and marketing to indie musicians and their fanbases
  • Solid understanding of KPIs, CPA, A/B testing, and other marketing analytics tools
  • Proven track record in developing strategic partnerships with indie brands
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team
  • Passion for indie music and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this space
