Position Summary

Secretly Group seeks a Global Label Director. Ideally the candidate will be based in either London, New York, Bloomington, or LA. The Global Label Director’s mission will be to lead the label’s Projects & Promotions teams, represent and advocate for the Secretly Group labels’ priorities to internal and external partners, and ensure resources are being prioritised appropriately across the label teams. The Global Label Director will report to the VP of Operations. This position will require regular travel to our office locations and cannot accommodate fully remote candidates.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Label Group’s Global Projects department & Promotions departments, including our in-house radio & press teams
  • Line manage & mentor a team of senior leaders and executives
  • Communicate regularly with Partners, VP of Operations, and department heads, on macro priorities for the Secretly Group labels
  • Serve as acting Sponsor to the majority of our artists’ campaigns, acting as the senior label voice for any big picture discussions with artist teams to ensure all aspects of a campaign are functioning at a high level
  • Provide guidance and budget oversight to our dedicated projects and artist teams, ensuring campaign targets are met and P&Ls are balanced
  • Serve as a leading voice and advocate for our Label Group and roster, both internally and externally
  • Represent Secretly Group when working closely with other Secretly affiliates across special projects and company growth
  • Analyse label operational activity; recommend and implement changes to improve internal systems & best practices
  • Work with VP of Operations on pricing strategy, discounts and margin philosophy
  • Collaborate with the Director of Projects and A&R on macro release schedule: traffic control individual label schedules, macro priorities, production demand, and impact of schedule volume on staff
  • Lead weekly label-wide staff calls, and participate in projects, promotions and radio team calls as necessary
  • Team with Director of Projects as liaisons to a global distribution team
  • Responsible for label award submissions & collaborate with Project Directors on global sales certifications

  • Proven leadership in setting direction for and achieving objectives
